Solve the ring emblem and Magic Mirror investigation

1. Compare the ring emblem with the books

After Bufkin brings the books, inspect the illustrated pages. Bigby recognizes the symbol on a man’s clothing as the one on the ring. Use that emblem as your lead for the heraldry book, rather than expecting the Magic Mirror to identify a woman whose name Bigby does not yet know.

2. Ask Bufkin to read the matching entry

Find the matching emblem in the book and ask Bufkin for help with the writing. He identifies the story of Donkeyskin and explains that the woman prefers the name Faith. The same exchange identifies her husband as Prince Lawrence. Let the conversation finish so you have both names for the investigation.

3. Ask the Mirror about Prince Lawrence

Return to the Mirror with the names you have learned. Asking for Faith produces a reply that powerful magic conceals her whereabouts. Asking for Prince Lawrence shows his apartment instead. Snow identifies the building by its red window frames and can take Bigby there. The Mirror’s refusal about Faith is part of the scene, not a missing dialogue puzzle.

What does the Mirror answer change?

The office sequence establishes an identity and a lead; it does not resolve Faith’s case. Continue with the Lawrence survival route before making the destination choice, or follow the full Episode 1 walkthrough.
