FAQ
What is the release date?
Is the remaster the sequel?
When does The Wolf Among Us Remastered come out?
October 29, 2026 is the release date currently listed by both PM Studios and Steam. We checked those pages on October 15, 2026. The Steam listing still marks the game as coming soon; this page is launch information, not a review of a released build.
The remaster revisits Bigby Wolf’s first investigation. It is a complete five-episode narrative adventure based on Fables, rather than a new sequel. If you are buying it to prepare for the series, start with our spoiler-light character guide and Episode 1 route.

Why do some release-date results look different?
Use the live store page for your region rather than a search snippet. At our check, the UK PlayStation concept page displayed only 10/2026. It did not display a precise October 28 date. PM Studios and Steam gave the more specific October 29 date.
| Source checked October 15 | Current listing | What to use it for |
|---|---|---|
| PM Studios game page | October 29, 2026 | Publisher’s announced date |
| Steam PC listing | 29 Oct, 2026; coming soon | Current Steam release listing |
| PlayStation UK concept page | 10/2026; announced | UK PS5 storefront status |
A store can use a regional calendar or update independently, but we have not verified an exact global unlock time or a timezone explanation for an October 28 listing. Do not assume midnight local time, a simultaneous UTC launch or early access. Check the listing tied to the account you will actually purchase with. See the platform comparison for direct store links.
Are all five episodes included?
Yes. The official Steam feature list describes the complete five-episode story. The original episode order is:
Those walkthrough pages currently describe the original game. The announced story content supports using them as preparation, but remaster-specific prompts, checkpoints, saves and trophy conditions have not been tested by this wiki.

What is new for launch?
Steam advertises a switchable black-and-white Noir Mode, improved lighting, updated animation, refined environments and bonus archival material such as commentary, concept art and interviews. Read the remastered versus original comparison for what those claims mean when deciding whether to buy again.
The wording “restored content” appears among the archival extras. It does not establish a new episode or a rewritten ending. We do not treat it as confirmation of additional story branches.
What should you check before buying?
Check the platform and edition name carefully, then confirm regional price, download size, unlock time and any upgrade offer directly in the store. We have not verified a free upgrade, save-transfer system, cross-save support or a specific preload schedule. A wishlist entry is not evidence that any of those features exist.
PC players should compare the published requirements with their hardware. Console players should avoid applying Steam’s 1080p performance targets to a console version. Requirements and availability are collected on our platforms page.

Is this The Wolf Among Us 2?
No. This product is The Wolf Among Us Remastered, a new edition of the original investigation. A release date for this remaster should not be presented as a release date for the sequel. None of the original-story guide pages on this site claim to cover the sequel.
