FAQ

Where is the Bluebeard file shown in the video?
On Bigby’s desk in his apartment, during the scene before the conversation with Colin. Examine the file rather than walking straight past it.
Why am I missing a Fable after the Gren fight?
The original game has different entries for the two arm decisions. Walking away unlocks Bigby’s Mercy; tearing off the arm unlocks Bigby’s Vengeance. One outcome does not award both.
Can I choose both Gren outcomes in the same encounter?
No. They are alternative responses to the same decision. The edited reference video shows both branches, not a sequence of actions in one uninterrupted encounter.
Does this confirm all remaster collectibles or trophy requirements?
No. This checklist documents selected original-game entries. It does not verify the remaster’s trophy list, replay rules or save behavior.

Original-game reference; remaster collectibles are not yet verified. Spoilers cover Bigby’s apartment and the Trip Trap fight in Episode 1. This is a focused checklist for Bluebeard and the two Gren outcomes, not a complete inventory of every automatic unlock. The video is an edited collection of scenes; its two fight endings are alternatives, not consecutive actions.

Check the file and the two alternative Gren entries

1. Inspect Bluebeard’s file in Bigby’s apartment

During the visit to Bigby’s apartment, examine the file on his desk before moving on. The recording labels it Bluebeard’s file and shows Bigby commenting on it. This is an easy object to overlook if you go directly to the conversation with Colin. Check the Book of Fables afterwards for the Bluebeard entry.

2. Alternative A: walk away for Bigby’s Mercy

After the fight with Gren, choose the option to walk away without tearing off his arm. This is the merciful outcome and corresponds to the original-game entry Bigby’s Mercy. It is one branch of the encounter, not a preliminary action you must perform before choosing the violent outcome.

The Wolf Among Us Trip Trap fight ends with a choice between tearing off Gren’s arm and walking away to spare him.

3. Alternative B: take the arm for Bigby’s Vengeance

The other shown ending chooses to tear off Gren’s arm. That outcome corresponds to Bigby’s Vengeance. You cannot choose both responses at this one decision in an uninterrupted run. Keep the two entries separate in your checklist and check the replay and save options in your installed edition before revisiting the scene.

How does this fit a completion run?

The source video also includes routine story unlocks. This page concentrates on the file interaction and the mutually exclusive fight endings so you can diagnose a missing entry without rereading the whole episode. The original Telltale community discussion also identifies the opposite Gren outcome as the missing entry for players who already have Bigby’s Mercy.

For the wider completion plan, use the trophy and Book of Fables guide. The full Faith walkthrough supplies the story route, while the Lawrence guide covers survival choices and the ring and Magic Mirror guide covers the office puzzle.
